Socioeconomic and environmental characteristics of the area : 
Trang Province is a province in the southern part of Thailand. Its economy is characterized by services, agriculture, livestock, tourism, industry, and commerce. It has a great deal of ethnic and cultural diversity. It is a multicultural community with Thai, Chinese, Muslim, and Christian races. There are temples, shrines, and mosques. Trang is a tourist city because Trang has abundant natural attractions such as the sea, mountains, waterfalls, and caves. Trang's tourist attractions are numerous and attractive. The physical geography is a combination of plateaus and hills. The green mountains are the source of streams and rivers. Trang has more than 40 islands, such as Libong Island, which is known as a habitat for dugongs. Koh Kradan, with its crystal clear waters, was awarded the island with the most beautiful beach in the world in 2023.

Rationale: 
“Sufficiency Economy” is a philosophy that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great has given as a guideline for the Thai people to live their lives since before the economic crisis. Later, he emphasized the guidelines for solving the problems in order to survive and be able to live stably and sustainably under the globalization and various changes. Sufficiency Economy is a philosophy that indicates the way of life and behavior of people at all levels, from the family level, the community level, to the state level, both in developing and administering the country to proceed along the middle path, especially in economic development in order to keep up with the globalized world. Sufficiency means moderation, reasonableness, including the need to have a good internal immune system to be able to withstand any impacts from changes both internally and externally. Therefore, it requires knowledge, prudence, and extreme caution in applying various knowledge in planning and implementing every step. At the same time, the basic mentality of the people of the nation, especially government officials and the public sector at all levels, must be strengthened to have a sense of morality, honesty, and appropriate knowledge, and conduct their lives with patience, perseverance, mindfulness, wisdom, and prudence in order to be balanced and ready to support changes. Rapidly and widely, both in terms of material, social, environmental and cultural aspects from the outside world very well. Development by promoting people to embrace the concept of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to use in accordance with the way of life that it should be and jointly being an important force in driving the concept of the Sufficiency Economy to expand and cover every community, which will make the community strong and able to sustainably rely on itself.
Objectives: 
1. To provide people with knowledge about the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and to be able to apply the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in their daily lives.
2. To provide communities with model homes that follow the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and to be a medium for disseminating knowledge and to serve as examples of practices for people in the community in the future.
3. To strengthen communities in Trang Municipality, leading to the promotion of Sufficiency Economy Learning Centers in Trang Municipality Communities.
Activities and/or practices employed: 
- Study the guidelines for selecting a self-sufficient model home
- Hold a meeting with the working group and relevant persons to determine the criteria for selecting a self-sufficient model home, including various guidelines for implementing the project
- Prepare the project, assign tasks to various departments for the project implementation and submit to the executives for signature, appoint the working group and approve the project
- Prepare materials, equipment and publicize the project to the target groups of organizations/communities interested in participating in the project
- Organize activities according to the specified plan
- Follow up and evaluate the project results
Size of academic audience: 
60 peoples in the Trang City Municipality Community
Results: 
1. People gain knowledge about the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and can apply the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in their daily lives.
2. The community has a model house of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and can be a medium for disseminating knowledge to serve as an example of the practices of people in the community in the future.
3. The model house of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy can be a medium for exchanging knowledge, which will make the community strong and able to sustainably rely on itself.
4. The community is aware of the problems that have occurred and works together to find solutions to problems in their local areas by using the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a guideline for solving problems in general.
